CONCEPT / ASSET DESIGNER

**3D ANIMATED SHOWS PUNE OR WORK FROM HOME**

About the role: Nirey Ventures Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a creative and skilled Concept / Asset Designer to develop visually engaging characters, props and environments for 3D animated shows. The ideal candidate should have strong traditional drawing fundamentals, digital design skills and the ability to use AI tools effectively while maintaining artistic quality and consistency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Create original concept art and production-ready designs for characters, props and environments.

· Develop character turnarounds, expressions, poses, colour variations and visual exploration sheets.

· Create environment concepts, props and other visual assets that support the show’s art direction.

· Translate briefs, references and feedback into clear, accurate and appealing designs.

· Use AI-assisted ideation and image-generation workflows where appropriate, followed by manual refinement.

· Maintain consistency in character design, proportions, details and overall visual style across production assets.

· Work closely with the art, modelling and production teams to ensure designs are practical for 3D production.

REQUIRED DESIGN SKILLS

· Strong hand-drawing and sketching skills are essential.

· Good understanding of anatomy, perspective, colour, form, shape language and visual storytelling.

· Ability to create clean turnarounds, expressions and production-ready artwork.

· Sharp observation, attention to detail and the ability to implement client / director feedback accurately.

· A strong portfolio demonstrating character, prop and environment design.

AI SKILLS – MANDATORY

· Practical familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Higgsfield or similar platforms.

· Ability to use AI for ideation, prompt writing, visual exploration and image-generation workflows.

· Ability to manually refine AI-generated outputs to ensure quality, consistency and adherence to the required art style.

SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE

· Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

· Procreate, Clip Studio Paint or Krita will be an added advantage.

· Familiarity with Blender, Maya or ZBrush will be an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

· Typically 7–8 years of experience in 3D animation production design is preferred.

· Candidates with relevant design experience in animated films, television series or other animation projects are welcome.

· A strong and relevant portfolio is essential; please include examples of your design process.
