We are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on DevOps CI/CD Engineer to lead the implementation, administration, optimization, and governance of the enterprise GitHub and CI/CD ecosystem. This is a technical ownership role focused on engineering excellence rather than operational support.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Docker, Azure, AWS, Kubernetes (AKS/EKS), and DevSecOps practices, with strong troubleshooting, automation, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

1. GitHub Enterprise Platform Administration

• Own and manage the enterprise GitHub environment, including administration, configuration, and optimization.
• Configure and maintain GitHub organizations, repositories, teams, permissions, and enterprise policies.

• Establish repository governance standards:

• Branch protection policies
• Pull Request controls
• CODEOWNERS implementation

• Status checks and review requirements

• Manage integrations with CI/CD, security, testing, cloud, and deployment platforms.
• Configure and maintain GitHub Actions runners (hosted and self-hosted).
• Troubleshoot issues related to workflows, permissions, authentication, runners, and integrations.
• Drive GitHub adoption and standardization across engineering teams.

1. CI/CD Pipeline Development & Engineering

• Design, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
• Develop reusable pipeline templates and workflow standards.

• Automate:

• Build processes
• Testing activities
• Security scanning
• Artifact creation

• Application deployments

• Implement multi-stage deployment pipelines across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
• Integrate pipelines with source control systems, testing frameworks, artifact repositories, and cloud platforms.
• Define branching, merge, release, and deployment strategies aligned with enterprise DevOps standards.

1. Pipeline Troubleshooting & Optimization

• Serve as the escalation point for complex CI/CD and deployment issues.

• Diagnose failures involving:

• YAML configurations
• Authentication and permissions
• Build tools and dependencies
• Deployment mechanisms

• Runners and agents

• Optimize pipeline performance through:

• Caching strategies
• Parallel execution
• Artifact management

• Runner utilization

• Create troubleshooting standards, diagnostics, and operational runbooks.

1. Cloud, Container & Kubernetes Engineering

• Support cloud-native deployments on Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Build and maintain Docker-based deployment workflows.
• Implement container image build, scan, publish, and deployment automation.

• Support Kubernetes deployments using:

• AKS
• EKS
• Helm
• Kubectl

• Kubernetes manifests

• Integrate CI/CD pipelines with Azure and AWS services.
• Troubleshoot container, registry, deployment, and cluster-related issues.
• Collaborate with cloud architects to improve scalability, reliability, and deployment automation.

1. DevSecOps & Security Integration

• Embed security throughout the CI/CD lifecycle.

• Implement:

• SAST (Static Application Security Testing)
• Dependency scanning
• Container vulnerability scanning

• Security quality gates

• Manage credentials, secrets, tokens, and service connections securely.
• Apply least-privilege access controls across GitHub, Azure DevOps, Azure, and AWS.
• Support security assessments, audits, and remediation activities.
• Ensure compliance with organizational governance and regulatory standards.

1. DevSecOps Metrics & KPI Improvement

• Drive improvements in software delivery and engineering performance metrics:

• Deployment Frequency
• Change Failure Rate
• Lead Time for Changes
• Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR)
• Regression Testing Effectiveness
• Escaped Defects
• Pipeline Success Rate
• Build & Deployment Duration

• Security Vulnerability Trends

• Analyze CI/CD performance data and recommend improvements.
• Partner with development and QA teams to improve deployment quality and reliability.

1. Testing & Quality Engineering

• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD workflows.

• Implement:

• Unit Testing
• Integration Testing
• Regression Testing
• API Testing
• Security Testing
