Senior Interior Designer

Role Description This is a part-time, remote role for a Senior Interior Designer. The Senior Interior Designer will lead the design process from concept through completion, including space planning, interior layouts, and selection of finishes, furniture, and equipment (FF&E). Day-to-day tasks include developing design concepts, producing drawings and presentations, coordinating with architects and consultants, and ensuring that design solutions meet functional, aesthetic, and budget requirements. The role involves preparing and reviewing construction drawings, documenting specifications, and maintaining clear communication with clients and project stakeholders. The Senior Interior Designer will also mentor junior team members, support project timelines, and uphold design standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Interior Design and FF&E selection, including materials, finishes, furnishings, and fixtures.
• Strong skills in Space Planning and Architecture coordination to create efficient, cohesive layouts.
• Proficiency in developing and reviewing Construction Drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience leading interior design projects from concept through implementation, ideally in a senior or lead role.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, consultants, and cross-functional teams.
• Advanced proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar) and presentation tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field; professional certification or licensure is a plus.
• Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a portfolio demonstrating high-quality interior design work.
