Lead Full Stack Developer

The platform uses a gamified, quiz-first approach to help learners explore African proverbs, traditions, rites of passage, festivals, folklore, and customs. Role Description As a Lead Full Stack Developer at Superfan.ng, you will own the end-to-end technical implementation of our learning platform, from front-end interfaces to back-end services. You will design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications, collaborating closely with product, design, and content teams to translate ideas into high-quality features. You will guide architectural decisions, review code, mentor other developers, and ensure best practices in performance, security, and reliability. This is a full-time remote role, requiring proactive communication, strong ownership, and the ability to work effectively across time zones.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Full-Stack Development and Software Development skills, with experience building and maintaining production web applications.
• Candidates should possess Back-End Web Development skills, including API design, database integration, and server-side application logic.
• Candidates should possess Front-End Development skills, including modern JavaScript frameworks and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for responsive, accessible user interfaces.
• Candidates should possess experience leading technical projects, performing code reviews, and mentoring developers in a collaborative environment.
• Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and application security best practices is beneficial.
• Familiarity with edtech products or interest in African languages and cultures is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills, clear communication, and the ability to thrive in a fully remote, fast-moving startup environment.
