Role Description The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) role at KeeMakr AI is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. In this role, the SDET designs, develops, and maintains automated test frameworks and test suites for back-end services and APIs supporting AI-powered products for SMBs. Responsibilities include writing and reviewing testable, maintainable code; creating and executing test plans; performing integration, regression, and performance testing; and collaborating with software engineers to improve code quality and reliability. The SDET investigates defects, analyzes root causes, and contributes to continuous improvement of development and release processes. The role also involves working closely with product and DevOps teams to ensure robust, scalable, and secure systems in production.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.
• Hands-on experience in Software Development and Programming, with proficiency in at least one modern language (e.g., Java, Python, C#, or similar).
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and ability to apply them to build testable, modular code.
• Background in test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., JUnit, TestNG, PyTest, Playwright, REST-assured, or similar).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and build tools.
• Ability to analyze requirements, design test cases, and document test results clearly and systematically.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to high-quality, reliable software.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms, or AI/ML products is a plus.
