Job Description – Java + Kotlin Developer (Non-Android)

Position: Java + Kotlin Developer

Experience: 3-6 Years

Job Summary

We are looking for a strong Java + Kotlin Developer with experience in building scalable backend applications and microservices. The candidate should have hands-on expertise in Kotlin for server-side development and must not be from an Android application development background . Experience in cloud-native development, APIs, and distributed systems is preferred.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong experience in Java (8/11/17)
• Hands-on experience in Kotlin (Backend Development)
• Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA
• Microservices Architecture
• RESTful API Development
• Database experience: SQL (Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL)
• Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Design Patterns
• Git, Maven/Gradle
• Unit Testing using JUnit/Mockito

Preferred Skills

• Cloud platforms: AWS/Azure/GCP
• Docker & Kubernetes
• Kafka/RabbitMQ
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions
• Performance tuning and optimization
• Agile/Scrum methodology

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend applications using Java and Kotlin.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and microservices.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams.
• Ensure code quality through code reviews, testing, and best practices.
• Participate in application performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Implement secure, high-performing, and fault-tolerant solutions.
