About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Quality Assurance (QA) Developer for a 4-month project focused on testing and validating a custom-built ERP platform designed to support manufacturing, wholesale, and distribution operations.

The platform integrates accounting, inventory management, order processing, and operational workflows into a centralized system, incorporating AI-assisted automation to improve efficiency and accuracy.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in software quality assurance, ERP integrations, API testing, SQL, and test automation, with the ability to identify system vulnerabilities, validate data integrity, and collaborate closely with developers and business stakeholders.

This role requires a hands-on professional who can test complex business workflows, challenge system functionality, and ensure the platform operates reliably before deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Test Execution

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and testing scenarios based on business requirements.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate system behavior across manufacturing, order management, accounting, and inventory workflows.
• Conduct negative testing, edge-case testing, and high-volume testing to identify potential system failures.
• Document testing results, defects, and opportunities for improvement.

ERP & Business Systems Integration Testing

• Test integrations between the custom ERP platform and external accounting and inventory management systems.
• Validate data synchronization, accuracy, and consistency across connected applications.
• Verify financial transactions, inventory movements, purchase orders, invoices, and related business records.
• Perform data reconciliation to ensure financial and inventory figures match across systems.
• Identify integration failures, discrepancies, and potential data integrity issues.

Test Automation & Technical Validation

• Develop and maintain automated testing scripts to improve testing efficiency.
• Perform API testing and validate system integrations.
• Use SQL queries to verify database records, identify discrepancies, and validate data accuracy.
• Test error handling, system recovery, and overall application reliability.
• Support performance and stress testing under different operational scenarios.

Defect Management & Collaboration

• Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects.
• Collaborate with external software developers to investigate issues and validate fixes.
• Conduct regression testing following system updates and corrections.
• Work directly with business users to understand workflows and translate operational requirements into testing scenarios.
• Maintain clear documentation of testing procedures, findings, and resolutions.

AI-Assisted Workflow Validation

• Support testing of AI-powered processes, including order extraction, document processing, and automated data entry.
• Validate extracted information against source documents and business rules.
• Identify inaccuracies, exceptions, and potential automation failures.
• Verify that AI-generated outputs are accurate and appropriately reviewed before being processed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or Test Engineering.
• Experience testing ERP platforms, business applications, or complex system integrations.
• Strong knowledge of functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
• Experience with API testing and validation.
• Strong SQL skills for database testing and data reconciliation.
• Understanding of accounting, inventory management, and operational workflows.
• Experience identifying defects, documenting issues, and collaborating with software development teams.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and nontechnical business users.
• Advanced English proficiency (C1 or above).
• Availability to work on a 4-month contract.
