What is the job?
The Assistant Controller is responsible for hands-on management of accounting operations, financial close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and accounting process improvements for a U.S. based organization.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, general ledger activities, and account reconciliations.

• Manage weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes.

• Prepare financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules in compliance with U.S. GAAP.

• Oversee inventory accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and related transactions.

• Improve accounting processes, internal controls, and automation using Dynamics 365 Business Central.

• Partner with the CFO and leadership on financial matters, reporting, and team development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a minimum of five (5) years of U.S. accounting experience, including experience as an Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or in a comparable role overseeing the full accounting function.

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience, with experience in Microsoft Excel and an inventory-driven environment.
