About A Traveling Teacher

A Traveling Teacher is an online education company dedicated to providing engaging, high-quality instruction through personalized learning and small-group classes.

We’re expanding our educational offerings to include live Artificial Intelligence (AI) courses for both students and adults. We’re seeking enthusiastic AI professionals, educators, and technology enthusiasts who can help participants develop practical skills and confidence using today’s AI technologies.

Our philosophy is simple: You teach. We handle the rest.

We’ve built an automated system that manages student enrollment, scheduling, Zoom links, class organization, and post-class communications. Our instructors focus on delivering engaging lessons without the administrative responsibilities typically associated with teaching.

Position Overview

We are seeking knowledgeable and engaging AI instructors to lead live, interactive online group classes focused on understanding and effectively using artificial intelligence.

Our courses primarily utilize Claude by Anthropic, introducing participants to practical AI applications, effective prompting, and responsible AI use.

We offer separate courses for:

  • Middle and High School Students: Age-appropriate AI education emphasizing foundational concepts, practical applications, critical thinking, and responsible use.
  • Adults: Practical AI education focused on everyday productivity, professional applications, problem-solving, and effectively integrating AI into work and daily life.

Instructors can choose to teach middle and high school students, adults, or both, based on their experience, interests, and preferences.

Each course consists of four weekly, one-hour live sessions with a maximum of six participants per group.

All curriculum, lesson plans, and instructional materials are developed and provided by A Traveling Teacher. Instructors are not responsible for creating courses or developing curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, live online AI lessons using our provided curriculum and instructional materials.
  • Teach participants how to effectively use Claude and understand its practical applications.
  • Explain AI concepts in clear, accessible language appropriate for the selected audience.
  • Lead interactive demonstrations, discussions, and hands-on activities.
  • Help participants develop effective prompting and AI problem-solving skills.
  • Encourage critical thinking, responsible AI use, and an understanding of AI limitations.
  • Answer participant questions during class and respond to occasional emails related to course content.
  • Maintain a positive, supportive, and interactive virtual learning environment.
  • Communicate relevant instructional concerns to our administrative team.
