Role Description

1. Job Purpose

The Solutions Developer – Finance & Controlling is responsible for the build, configuration, support and continuous improvement of technology solutions supporting Finance, Controlling and related processes across the Princes Group. Operating under the direction of the Solution Architect, the role applies technical expertise and judgement to deliver robust system solutions aligned to business requirements and enterprise standards. The role leads the technical design, configuration, support and continuous improvement of Finance and Controlling solutions across SAP ECC6, SAP S/4HANA Finance and associated planning and reporting platforms including BPC and SAC. The role acts as the primary technical owner for assigned Finance technology services, coordinating support activities, driving solution improvements and ensuring the ongoing stability, compliance and performance of the application landscape.

2. Dimensions

• Acts as technical owner for Finance & Controlling application services including SAP FI/CO, SAP S/4HANA Finance, BPC and SAC.
• Coordinates delivery of application support, enhancements and defect resolution across internal and third-party teams.
• Leads technical analysis and solution design activities within assigned service areas.
• Responsible for maintaining application stability, security, compliance and service performance.
• Provides expert 3rd line support and technical leadership during incident and problem resolution.
• Works across multiple business units, countries and legal entities.
• Supports projects, upgrades, integrations and transformation initiatives.

3. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the configuration, enhancement and delivery of SAP Finance & Controlling solutions.
• Act as technical owner for assigned Finance application services and capabilities.
• Coordinate integrations between Finance systems and the wider enterprise application landscape.
• Lead complex incident investigation, root cause analysis and resolution activities.
• Coordinate testing, release and deployment activities for Finance solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across Finance and Controlling platforms.
• Coordinate activities delivered by third-party support partners and service providers.
• Ensure solutions comply with governance, security, audit and ITGC requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members where appropriate.
• Contribute to architecture, roadmap and technology lifecycle planning activities.

Technical Skills

• Strong configuration and support expertise across SAP FI/CO.
• Good understanding of SAP S/4HANA Finance architecture and processes.
• Experience leading system enhancements and application support activities.
• Knowledge of Finance integration points across Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Commercial functions.
• Experience coordinating releases, testing and change management activities.
• Understanding of ITGC, audit and financial compliance controls.
