Senior Software Engineer:

Ensure development teams delivers the solution that meets customer needs and requirements in close collaboration with Solution Design, SME and engineering team. Ensure that development related activities are completed and delivered on-time, on-budget, with the highest level of quality and the highest possible level of customer satisfaction.

• Responsible for on-time (schedule), on-mark (effort) and quality of the configuration and development as per the requirements.
• Ensure review process for requirements, configuration, development and testing.
• Ensure project management tools (ERS, JIRA, Test Link, SharePoint) are effectively used and track progress and quality.
• Ensures best practices to enable reusability and delivery of high quality solutions.
• Strives to drive efficiency and effectiveness in development with the objective of ensuring Subex competitive advantage
• Works with engineering team to ensure pre-requisites are met for projects from delivery perspective.
• Co-ordinates between the delivery chains to ensure there is a smooth transition of knowledge and effective delivery of deliverables in the delivery chain.
• Implement best practices, processes and standards based on lessons learned from projects

SME, Development and implementation teams and HR

• 2 - 3 years of strong experience in development of Java applications.
• Strong in Core Java, Collection framework, Multi-Threading
• Strong in Database - SQL
• Good in Problem Solving
• Knowledge of OOPS/Design patterns

Communication Skills: Ability to plan and deliver oral and written communications effectively and ability to maintain relationship with all Internal and external customers in a way that is in line with the Subexians traits.

Customer Orientation: Need to think of solutions and designs from customer prospective.

Leadership Skills: Involves and motivates others to participate and contribute to the activities and projects. Recognizes degrees of interest and skills and abilities to encourage new ideas, creativity and willing involvement by others. Develops individual or team participation to meet specific goals and objectives. Willingness to lead, take charge, and offer opinions and direction.

Management Skills: Ability to do proper analysis, planning, scheduling, estimating and follow-up on the planning. Ensuring that the process is adhered to in spirit and ensuring the quality of the product. Resource planning w.r.t. staffing and Hardware to SPM. Applies whole systems thinking to HR work processes by ensuring considerations of all external and internal environmental factors in providing advice and solutions to customers.

Process Adherence and Quality improvement: Enforcement of existing processes, taking new initiative In terms of quality improvement & Process Improvement

Product and Domain Competence: Ability to understand the various aspects of the product features, deployment scenarios, networking technologies or domain the product would be used in. Should be able to explain how the product can be applied to a particular domain area, should be able to provide feature enhancements or improvements to product based on the know-how

Project Management: Ability to do proper planning, estimation, Time and cost management w.r.t. a project and follow-up on the same. Managing risks skillfully and ability to derive change within ones organization w.r.t. change management. Ensuring that the progress of the project is tracked and reported in adherence with the process and also managing the interests of the Stakeholders.

Technical Competence: ability to demonstrate depth of knowledge and skill in a technical area. Is continuously seeking advanced training on job related technical skills. Demonstrates strong understanding of technical requirements of the job and applies the skills learnt to the job. Updated on changing technology and trends. Works well with individuals and teams to further technical goals.

Highly proficient in Core Java, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems

Experience with databases Oracle, Postgres

Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as SVN, Git etc

Familiarity with concepts of MVC, JDBC, and RESTful

Familiarity with Java Web GUI frameworks/ libraries GWT etc

Familiarity with build tools such as Ant, Maven.
