We’re delighted to offer a rare opportunity to join the pre-opening team of a brand-new, hospitality venue in the heart of central London. It will be a high-end, high-profile destination in one of the capital’s busiest locations.
As Maintenance Manager, you’ll make sure the building, facilities and equipment are kept to the highest standard. You’ll support the pre-opening phase and then the day-to-day running of the venue once it opens. You’ll work closely with the Property team, contractors and the wider management team to keep the venue safe, compliant and exceptional for colleagues and guests.
As an early appointment, you’ll be part of the pre-opening journey from the start, working with stakeholders through the build phase and making sure the venue is ready to operate on launch day. Please do bear in mind that this will be a 24/7 operation and flexibility will be required.
Key Duties
- Support pre-opening familiarisation, working with the Property team and contractors to learn the building, its plant and its maintenance requirements before opening.
- Lead planned and reactive maintenance across all areas of the venue, keeping the building, fixtures and equipment safe, working and well presented.
- Manage maintenance issues, carry out repairs where appropriate and bring in specialist contractors when needed. Keep maintenance records and documentation accurate.
- Manage, support and develop the Maintenance Assistants, prioritising workloads so service standards are met.
- Be the main on-site contact for contractors and suppliers, making sure work is done safely, compliantly and on time.
- Own health and safety compliance, including risk assessments, contractor management, statutory inspections, fire safety and maintenance documentation.
- Manage maintenance stock, tools and consumables, and make sure all purchasing follows company procurement procedures.

- Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities management or building services role
- Strong practical knowledge across a range of maintenance disciplines
- Experience managing contractors and external service providers
- A good understanding of health and safety, compliance and maintenance best practice
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-facing 24/7 environment and respond well to operational priorities
- Flexibility to work a variety of shift patterns as the business needs, both before and after opening
- Relevant technical qualifications and experience in large or complex buildings (advantageous)
- Experience supervising, supporting or managing a small team (desirable)
Desired Qualifications
