Job Description
• $80–$120 per hour equivalent, paid per accepted task
• 100% remote
• Part-time
• About 15 hours a week, you choose when
Create aerodynamic and fluid-dynamics tasks, solve them and evaluate the results for AI training on your own schedule.
AI companies need aerodynamics and fluid-dynamics experts to test and correct their systems on real engineering work. In this project, experts turn physical requirements into CFD cases by choosing the model and preparing the inputs needed to solve them. You will lay out the geometry and domain, generate the mesh, set the conditions and fluid data, choose solver controls, and run and review CFD and aerodynamic analyses. You will check numerical stability and physical validity, then explain issues such as non-convergence, unstable solutions and incorrect outputs. This is that work, done remotely around your schedule.
What you’ll do
• Turn physical requirements into CFD models and cases ready for a solver
• Lay out the geometry and computational domain, then generate the mesh
• Set initial and boundary conditions; specify fluid properties and solver settings
• Run CFD and aerodynamic analyses with Python and command-line tools, then validate the results
Why this is worth your time
• Earn $80–$120 an hour equivalent, paid per accepted task
• Apply your aerodynamics and fluid-dynamics skills to practical CFD and engineering simulation work
• Set your own schedule for about 15 hours a week
• Fully remote and flexible, no fixed shifts, no commute
Who this is for
• Aerospace engineering graduate training, or mechanical engineering graduate training with an aerodynamics, fluid dynamics or thermofluids specialization; alternatively, a bachelor’s degree with aerospace or mechanical engineering as the field, and aerospace-specific professional or research experience for one to two years
• Knowledge of applied aerodynamics and strong fluid mechanics, including CFD or aerodynamic analyses that you have formulated and run, plus practical Python ability and experience with a scripting interface, configuration-based tool, programmatic API or command-line interface
• Fluent English and the ability to clearly explain solver settings, mesh strategies, boundary conditions and modeling assumptions
• No AI experience needed.
Pay and details
• $80–$120 per hour equivalent; pay is per accepted task, as an independent contractor
• Part-time, about 15 hours a week; fully remote, United States
