Job Description
• $50–$80 per hour

• Part-time
• Fully flexible schedule
Review legal citation rubrics and create cite-checking tasks, corrections, and explanations for AI training.
AI companies need legal citation specialists to test their systems on real Bluebook and pincite work. This project asks specialists to assess citation rules, find unusual cases, build review exercises, and prepare examples that pair legal authorities with citation errors, corrected formats, and explanations. They also flag ambiguous cases and explain why citation corrections are needed. This is that work, done remotely around your schedule.
What you’ll do
• Assess Bluebook and pincite grading rubrics and point out rules that are unclear or applied inconsistently
• Find citation situations missing from the rubrics, then set out the appropriate treatment
• Build citation review exercises at different levels of difficulty and across citation formats
• Assemble examples that show the legal source, the original citation, the corrected version, and the explanation
Why this is worth your time
• Get paid $50–$80 an hour
• Apply your Bluebook and pincite knowledge to citation review and cite-checking work
• Work independently on detailed assignments with care and consistency
• Fully remote and flexible, no fixed shifts, no commute
Who this is for
• Current law student or completed JD
• Experience on a law review or law journal, with cite-checking or source collection experience
• Professional fluency in English and strong working knowledge of The Bluebook; the role includes pincites, short forms, signals, and parentheticals
• No AI experience needed.
Pay and details
• $50–$80 per hour, paid hourly as an independent contractor
• Part-time, flexible schedule; fully remote, United States
