Job Description
• $50–$150 per hour equivalent, paid per accepted task
• 100% remote
• Part-time
• Fully flexible schedule
Solve computational fluid dynamics problems and review AI-written engineering answers for technical accuracy and sound judgment.
AI companies need CFD engineers to test and correct their systems on fluid-flow and simulation problems. You will solve technical problems, review AI-generated answers, and check whether the reasoning and conclusions hold up against engineering principles and supporting data. The work includes explaining errors and documenting clear technical feedback in writing and conversation. This is that work, done remotely around your schedule.
What you’ll do
• Solve CFD problems involving meshing and turbulence-model selection.
• Assess whether AI-generated engineering answers are technically accurate and reflect sound engineering judgment.
• Check fluid-flow and heat-transfer simulation results against experimental or analytical data.
• Explain errors in the AI’s reasoning and document your technical conclusions in writing and conversation.
Why this is worth your time
• Earn $50–$150 an hour equivalent, paid per accepted task
• Use your CFD simulation and validation experience to solve engineering problems
• Put your engineering judgment to work reviewing AI answers and explaining technical errors
• Fully remote and flexible, no fixed shifts, no commute
Who this is for
• A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, aerospace engineering, thermofluids, fluid dynamics, or a related field—or a higher degree—is preferred; equivalent practical experience also qualifies.
• Preferred experience: hands-on work in CFD simulation and validation for at least three years.
• Professional fluency in English and technical knowledge of boundary conditions, meshing strategies, Navier-Stokes equations, verification and validation, RANS, LES, and DES.
• No AI experience needed.
Pay and details
• $50–$150 per hour equivalent; pay is per accepted task, as an independent contractor
• Part-time, flexible schedule; fully remote, United States
