Game Developer

Overview

Join us as a paid Computer Science Intern and contribute to practical software projects alongside experienced team members. You’ll explore software development across web and application development, build your technical skills, and help create reliable solutions. This role is suited to a student or early-career candidate eager to learn; specific experience thresholds are not provided.

Duties

• Contribute to front-end and back-end development, including JavaScript frameworks such as React and Express, and Ruby on Rails where applicable.
• Help design and develop REST (Representational State Transfer) APIs and microservices, using SQL (Structured Query Language) databases such as MySQL.
• Participate in system design, apply software design principles and design patterns, and consider scalability in system development.
• Use version control tools such as Git, GitHub, or SVN; support testing and CI/CD (continuous integration and continuous delivery) workflows.
• Collaborate in Agile software development and explore cloud infrastructure, including AWS (Amazon Web Services), IT infrastructure, Linux, and quantum engineering as project needs allow. Skills

• Interest in software engineering, application development, web development, APIs, scalable systems, and Agile practices.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, C, C++, VBA, or Ruby is useful; not every language is required.
• Exposure to RESTful APIs, JavaScript, SQL, MySQL, software design, system design, and design patterns is helpful.
• Awareness of cloud infrastructure, AWS, Linux, microservices, RBAC (role-based access control), and CI/CD is a plus.
• Experience with Git, GitHub, SVN, React, or Express is welcome; curiosity and a willingness to learn are essential.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
