Description:
About All Classical Radio and International Children’s Arts Network
All Classical Radio is one of America’s top classical music and arts networks, broadcasting from the heart of Portland, OR. The station serves nearly a quarter of a million local listeners in Oregon and SW Washington and millions of listeners worldwide via mobile app and online streaming. All Classical Radio’s newly built headquarters in KOIN Tower in downtown Portland brings unprecedented opportunity to involve community members in this service, fortifying All Classical as a pillar of the arts ecosystem.
International Children’s Arts Network (ICAN), powered by All Classical Radio, is a radio service, the first of its kind in the nation, available on All Classical Radio’s HD-2 channel and online worldwide via icanradio.org. As a dedicated safe space for children, ICAN celebrates the joy of being a child, explores other cultures, and enhances learning inside and outside of the classroom primarily through music and literature. The content is produced locally, sourced and shared globally, and curated by All Classical Radio and regional arts partners. Designed for children ages 0–12, ICAN is a resource for children, families, and educators for enriching content that is safe, educational, entertaining, and inspiring.
The Role:
All Classical Radio seeks a creative, self-motivated Production Assistant who will support both our children’s network and main broadcast channel. This full-time role (40 hours / week) will foster deeper community engagement, improve efficiency, and streamline content and programming across our two networks, with approximately 75% of time devoted to ICAN and 25% to All Classical Radio.

You will be part of a collaborative and inclusive organization where you can use your personality and integrity to support the mission of a dynamic radio station, helping to carry out All Classical Radio’s mission to build cultural community and provide access to the arts for all.
The role is crucial to advancing efficiency for the International Children’s Arts Network and All Classical Radio, reinforcing organizational stability and sustainability in support of the Program Directors and on-air hosts. The Production Assistant will contribute to radio programs, improve systems, strengthen community relationships, and provide essential production assistance. This position is a great mix of producing, scheduling, administration, and marketing. Candidates should have superior multitasking and organizational skills and be able to meet deadlines. Our dynamic environment requires the ability to be flexible and adjust to changing priorities.
