About The Role As a WordPress Web Developer, you will build and maintain client websites using WordPress, translating design references and existing pages into polished, responsive experiences. You will recreate layouts with attention to visual detail while ensuring that websites perform reliably across common devices and screen sizes. The role combines practical front-end development with ongoing site updates, quality checks, and optimization.

You will work with HTML, CSS, WordPress, and at least two page builders to deliver page layouts and website features. You should be comfortable interpreting requirements, identifying discrepancies between a reference design and a finished page, and making thoughtful adjustments without compromising usability. Accessibility and SEO fundamentals are important considerations throughout your work. AI-assisted development tools are encouraged when they help you work efficiently, but your judgment and quality control remain essential to the final result.

This is a remote collaboration opportunity suited to a detail-oriented developer who can manage assigned work independently, communicate progress, and contribute to a consistent, high-quality client experience.

Qualifications Candidates should have hands-on experience building, editing, or maintaining websites in WordPress, along with practical knowledge of HTML and CSS. Experience using at least two WordPress page builders is required. You should be able to recreate web designs accurately, work with responsive layouts, and troubleshoot common presentation or content issues.

A strong eye for detail and a methodical approach to testing are important. You should understand foundational accessibility practices, such as clear structure and usable page elements, as well as basic SEO considerations, including logical headings and search-friendly content presentation. The ability to follow project requirements, ask clarifying questions when needed, and adapt to feedback will help you succeed. Familiarity with AI-assisted development is welcome, and a willingness to use these tools thoughtfully is encouraged. Clear written communication and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote setting are also valuable.

Responsibilities Build, update, and optimize WordPress websites for healthcare clients, using supplied designs, references, and project requirements as a guide. Recreate existing page layouts with care, paying close attention to spacing, typography, content placement, and consistency across pages. Use HTML, CSS, WordPress, and page builders to implement responsive designs that work across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

Review completed work for visual accuracy, functionality, accessibility fundamentals, and basic SEO structure. Identify and resolve layout or content issues, make updates in response to feedback, and help maintain a polished and reliable end-user experience. Coordinate with remote project collaborators, communicate progress and potential blockers, and manage tasks responsibly. Use AI-assisted tools where appropriate while checking generated code and content for accuracy, suitability, and quality.
