The Opportunity

As a Design Assistant, you will work alongside our Course Leads to support learners through creative projects, studio-based learning, enterprise activities, and industry-inspired experiences.

This role sits at the heart of the learner experience.

You will help learners:

• Develop their own ideas and creative concepts
• Build design and technical skills
• Gain confidence in their abilities
• Strengthen independence and resilience
• Create work they are genuinely proud of
• Progress towards employment, enterprise, and adult life

You will also help create studios that are:

• Inspiring
• Structured
• Creative
• Professional
• Calm and purposeful

This role is about far more than supporting sessions.

It is about helping young people discover what they are capable of.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting learners during creative and practical studio activities
• Helping learners develop their own designs, products, and projects
• Supporting project delivery from concept through to final outcomes
• Creating and adapting learner resources
• Applying inclusive approaches to support individual learner needs
• Supporting learners with Adobe Creative Cloud and other creative tools
• Assisting with exhibitions, showcases, enterprise projects, and production activities
• Maintaining organised, professional, and engaging studio environments
• Supporting learner progress, portfolios, and project outcomes
