Senior Product Manager – Digital Commerce Transformation

**12-Month FTC / Contract ASAP Start UK Retail Organisation**

The Opportunity

We’re working with a leading UK retail organisation embarking on a major digital transformation, looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to take ownership of a significant programme modernising its digital commerce and customer management platforms.

This is an opportunity to lead the evolution of both B2B and B2C digital journeys, transforming how customers discover products, manage accounts, place orders and interact with the business.

Reporting directly to the CTO, you’ll own the product vision, roadmap and delivery of a modern, scalable commerce platform, bringing together order management, CRM, CMS, customer experience and emerging AI/agentic capabilities.

With a defined delivery roadmap and ambitious launch milestones, we’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running, influence decisions and drive meaningful change.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end product roadmap and delivery of a major digital commerce transformation across B2B and B2C channels.
• Lead the modernisation of order management, customer accounts, CRM, CMS and wider digital commerce capabilities.
• Work closely with engineering teams, architects and external implementation partners to deliver a scalable, API-led platform.
• Drive product prioritisation, challenge requirements and manage dependencies, risks and delivery milestones.
• Shape the future of customer journeys, including personalisation, conversion, customer engagement and AI-assisted experiences.
• Lead CRM and CMS platform evaluations, supporting build-versus-buy decisions and implementation.
• Engage senior stakeholders across technology, operations, marketing and customer service to ensure successful delivery

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Senior Product Manager, Digital Product Lead or Product/Programme Lead, delivering large-scale digital commerce or platform transformations.
• Strong understanding of B2B and B2C eCommerce, including customer journeys, order management, customer accounts and conversion.
• Experience delivering CRM, CMS or enterprise commerce platform implementations.
• Confidence working with engineering teams and modern architectures, including APIs, integrations and event-driven systems.
• Demonstrable experience owning complex roadmaps, managing delivery partners and taking programmes through to successful launch.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and translate business objectives into practical delivery plans.
• A commercially minded, delivery-focused approach with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced transformation environment.

Desirable: Experience within retail or multichannel environments, ERP integrations, customer data platforms or AI-driven customer experiences.
