Job Description
• $140–$400 per hour
• 100% remote
• Part-time
• Fully flexible schedule
Work on the cutting edge of legal AI, on your own schedule, and get paid for the product safety expertise you already have.
The AI systems everyone is talking about are trained and tested by real legal experts. The teams building them need consumer product safety lawyers who can create realistic compliance tasks, judge how well an AI handles them, write the answer a product safety professional would give, and explain exactly where the analysis falls short. Your judgment becomes part of how the next generation of AI models handles legal and regulatory questions. This is that work, done remotely around your schedule.
What you’ll do
• Create realistic product safety compliance scenarios and evaluation tasks for AI systems
• Review AI responses to product safety laws and regulatory requirements, and assess whether the conclusions are legally sound
• Draft the expert answer and clear guidance a product safety lawyer would provide
• Explain gaps in compliance analysis and recommend risk-mitigation actions
Why this is worth your time
• Get paid $140–$400 an hour to build real AI skills
• Work directly with frontier AI tools and see how they are built, tested and improved, experience most consumer product safety lawyers will not have for years
• Build a career edge for what comes next: AI is reshaping consumer product safety law, and the lawyers who understand it from the inside will lead that change
• Fully remote and flexible, no fixed shifts, no commute
Who this is for
• A JD for US-trained lawyers, or an equivalent legal qualification, with at least 1 year of practice, focused on product safety, consumer protection or regulatory compliance
• Significant product safety legal experience, including work with federal, state, and international regulations and review of compliance documents
• Fluent in English, with a high standard of written and spoken communication
• No AI experience needed.
Pay and details
• $140–$400 per hour, paid hourly as an independent contractor
• Fully flexible schedule; fully remote, United States
