Job Description
• $20–$60 per hour
• 100% remote
• Part-time
• About 10–20 hours a week, you choose when
Work on the cutting edge of AI, on your own schedule, and get paid for the cargo surveying judgment you already have.
The AI systems everyone is talking about are trained and tested by real experts. The teams building them need cargo surveyors who can create realistic evidence-based scenarios, judge whether the AI reaches sound conclusions, write the findings a professional surveyor would give, and explain exactly where the reasoning falls short. Your judgment becomes part of how the next generation of AI models handles cargo condition, transport losses, securing and compliance. This is that work, done remotely around your schedule.
What you’ll do
• Assess temperature logs from reefer shipments and damage reports to identify cargo condition issues and transport losses
• Use shipment records and photographs to assess container integrity and how cargo was secured
• Assess evidence from finished-vehicle and food transport to determine condition and likely cause
• Write survey findings, damage attributions and structured feedback with clear supporting reasoning
Why this is worth your time
• Get paid $20–$60 an hour to build real AI skills
• Work directly with frontier AI tools and see how they are built, tested and improved, experience most cargo surveyors will not have for years
• Build a career edge for what comes next: AI is reshaping cargo surveying and logistics compliance, and the people who understand it from the inside will lead that change
• Fully remote, fully flexible, no minimum shift, no commute
Who this is for
• At least seven years working in cargo surveying, with experience in such areas as temperature-controlled or reefer shipments, containerized cargo, and cargo lashing or securing
• Ability to interpret inspection logs and photographs, assess damage reports, and work with transportation compliance documents
• Fluent English; communication that is clear in writing and speech; and familiarity with the standards used in international transportation compliance
• No AI experience needed.
Pay and details
• $20–$60 per hour, paid hourly as an independent contractor
• About 10–20 hours a week, you choose when; fully remote, United States
