Job Description
• $90–$130 per hour equivalent, paid per accepted task
• 100% remote
• Part-time
• Fully flexible schedule
Work on the cutting edge of legal AI, on your own schedule, and get paid for the transaction judgment you already have.
The legal AI systems everyone is talking about are trained and tested by practicing lawyers. The teams building them need M&A professionals who can create realistic contract scenarios, judge how accurately the system handles them, set out what a sound legal response should contain, and explain where its risk analysis or judgment falls short. Your experience becomes part of how the next generation of legal AI handles specialized work. This is that work, done remotely in a part-time contractor role.
What you’ll do
• Review asset purchase and stock purchase agreement scenarios for contract issues and deal risk
• Run simulated negotiations and redline transaction agreements
• Assess AI-written legal answers for correctness, risk spotting, and sound legal judgment
• Create objective grading criteria for contract review and turn your findings into clear feedback for the teams improving the system
Why this is worth your time
• Earn the equivalent of $90–$130 per hour while applying your M&A judgment to legal AI review
• Apply your M&A judgment to AI-generated contract responses and help improve their accuracy
• Build practical experience applying transaction judgment to AI contract review and clear model feedback
• Fully remote and flexible, no fixed shifts, no commute
Who this is for
• J.D. earned at an ABA-accredited law school, plus active bar admission in one or more U.S. jurisdictions
• At least two years in a corporate law firm’s M&A department
• Fluent in English, with clear and effective written and verbal communication
• Skilled in contract interpretation, risk analysis, structured legal reasoning, and close attention to detail
• No AI experience needed. Helpful background includes private equity, AI, legal technology, training initiatives, or cross-disciplinary product and research teams; the work centers on reviewing examples, writing clear legal feedback, and explaining decisions.
Pay and details
• $90–$130 per hour equivalent; pay is per accepted task, as an independent contractor
• Part-time, flexible schedule; fully remote, United States
