Role:

WeDo is partnering with a growing AI business backed by an established enterprise software group. With around 70 employees across an international team, they are looking for someone to build and own an IT function that uses AI and automation throughout.

You will have the freedom to shape how IT operates, from employee onboarding and identity management to device provisioning and SaaS administration. As the function matures, there is scope to share your expertise with customers and help them improve their own IT operations.

Responsibilities:

• Build and own the full joiner, mover and leaver lifecycle, ensuring employees have secure devices, accounts and tools from day one.

• Manage Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365 and a growing SaaS estate, including access, licences and integrations.

• Automate repetitive work using AI tools, scripting and APIs.

• Coordinate international hardware procurement and provisioning through suitable suppliers.

• Work closely with security colleagues on device management, encryption and access controls.

• Support migrations and the transition towards greater internal IT ownership.

• Make practical decisions about when to build, buy or use external providers.

• Help customers understand and apply the approaches you have developed internally.

Required Skills:

• Experience owning an IT function or delivering substantial improvements across internal IT operations.

• Strong knowledge of identity and access management, Microsoft 365, endpoint management and SaaS administration.

• Practical examples of using AI and automation to improve workflows, professionally or through personal projects.

• Scripting experience with PowerShell, Python or TypeScript, alongside confidence working with APIs.

• Ability to identify a problem, choose an approach and deliver a solution independently.

• Clear communication and confidence explaining technical ideas to colleagues and customers.

• Experience operating in a startup or similarly fast moving environment.
