AWS Golden Jacket Architect (6-Month Contract)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Drive enterprise cloud strategy, architecture excellence, security, and operational efficiency.
• Design secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-optimized multi-account AWS environments using the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Manage cloud migration, modernization, disaster recovery, security, compliance, reliability, and FinOps.
• Handle stakeholder management, architecture governance, mentoring, and executive-level communication.
• This is a remote position.
• Mandatory certification: AWS Golden Jacket. Requirements

Ideal Candidate

• Strong AWS Golden Jacket Profile with deep expertise in AWS architecture, cloud transformation, platform engineering, and enterprise-scale cloud operations
• Mandatory (Experience 1): Must have 8+ years of overall IT experience, including at least 5+ years of strong hands-on AWS work (consistent with holding the Golden Jacket).
• Mandatory (Experience 2): Must have experience designing secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-optimized multi-account AWS environments using the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Mandatory (Tech skill 1): Must have strong hands-on knowledge of core AWS services, AWS Organizations, Control Tower, IAM, VPC, Transit Gateway, EC2, S3, RDS / Aurora, Lambda, EKS / ECS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Config, and Security Hub
• Mandatory (Tech skill 2): Must have hands-on expertise in Terraform / CloudFormation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD, Git, containers, and automation.
• Mandatory (Skill): Must have a strong understanding of cloud migration, modernization, disaster recovery, security, compliance, reliability, and FinOps.
• Mandatory (Certification): Must hold current AWS Golden Jacket recognition, with active AWS certifications across Architecture, Development, Operations, Security, Networking, Data, and Machine Learning.
• Mandatory (Communication): Must have excellent stakeholder management, architecture governance, mentoring, and executive-level communication skills.
• Mandatory (Note1): This is a 6-month contract role. Candidate must be comfortable with the contract engagement and able to join immediately (urgent — onboarding within ~a week)
• Mandatory (Note 2): The candidate will be on TalentXO’s payroll.
