Job Description
E-COMMERCE MANAGER (12-MONTH MATERNITY COVER)
THE ROLE:
We are looking for an experienced E-commerce Manager to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave, based in our London office. You’ll take full ownership of ALIGNE.co and the day-to-day trading of the site, ensuring it performs, converts and reflects the brand at every customer touchpoint across all of our global markets.
Conversion optimisation sits at the heart of this role. You’ll continuously analyse, test and improve the customer journey to drive performance, while leading catalogue management and site merchandising strategy. You’ll report on trading and site performance, identify opportunities and keep the site up to date, relevant and commercially sharp, without compromising the brand. Working closely with the Brand, Commercial, Marketing, Creative and Merchandising teams, you’ll bring every product launch, campaign and creative refresh to life online.
You’ll also manage the day-to-day relationship with our external development agency, acting as the go-between for the business and owning the workflow and project management of all site development. We’re looking for a highly organised, commercially minded and detail-driven e-commerce specialist with a passion for fashion, who works efficiently, thrives in a fast-paced environment and can hit the ground running.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own conversion rate optimisation across the site, continually identifying, testing and implementing improvements to UX, navigation and the end-to-end customer journey.
- Plan and run A/B tests, analysing results and rolling out winning changes.
- Manage the day-to-day trading of the website.
- Produce weekly and monthly trading reports on key KPIs, including traffic, conversion rate, AOV, bounce rate and sell-through, sharing actionable insights and recommendations with the wider business.
- Keep the site up to date, relevant and competitive by tracking UX best practice, competitor sites and e-commerce trends.
- Lead catalogue management and strategy, ensuring product data is accurate, well structured and optimised, including tagging, categorisation and filtering to improve product discovery.
- Merchandise the site, including the homepage, collection pages and product sorting, continually optimising based on performance data, stock levels and trading priorities.
- Work closely with the Commercial and Merchandising teams to maximise product visibility and sell-through.
- Manage all product go-lives, including product descriptions, imagery, meta titles and meta descriptions.
- Drive SEO and GEO (generative engine optimisation) best practice across site content, product pages and site structure.
- Upload and test all content on the website, ensuring accuracy and a seamless experience across all devices and markets.
- Deliver campaign launches and implement full site creative refreshes, working closely with the Brand and Creative teams and aligning onsite activity with email and CRM.
- Manage the day-to-day relationship with our external development agency, acting as the go-between for the business.
- Own the workflow and project management of all site development, including briefing, prioritising, scheduling, testing and managing development hours.
- Oversee site health and the e-commerce tech stack, including integrations.
- Take responsibility for all aspects of the website, ensuring it runs smoothly, efficiently and to the highest standard.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5 years of experience in an e-commerce role, ideally within a fashion or womenswear brand.
- Proven track record in conversion rate optimisation, UX and onsite optimisation, including hands-on A/B testing.
- Strong experience in content management, catalogue management and site merchandising.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce KPIs and commercial performance reporting.
- Good knowledge of SEO and GEO best practice.
- Experience managing an external development agency and site development projects.
