Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering and/or related field or equivalent relevant experience, plus 8 years of related experience; or Master’s degree plus 6 years of related experience. Certified application developer indicating an advanced or expert degree of application development knowledge is strongly preferred.

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Senior M365 and Power Platform Developer. We are seeking a motivated M365 and Power Platform Developer to join a collaborative, challenging, and rewarding team environment. You will partner with a dynamic group of professionals to design and deliver modern digital solutions that enhance collaboration, process automation, knowledge management, and data-driven decision‑making across the enterprise. This role spans SharePoint, Power Platform, Microsoft 365 services, and emerging AI capabilities in the Microsoft ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities and Required Experience:

• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft 365 application development, including SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, Microsoft Teams extensions, and related services.
  • Hands-on development within the M365 ecosystem and associated development frameworks.
  • Experience building scalable Power Platform solutions including canvas apps, model-driven apps, custom connectors, and enterprise-grade automated workflows.
  • Experience using Microsoft Copilot Studio, AI Builder, or other M365-integrated AI tools to automate processes, classify data, extract insights, or build conversational applications.
  • Familiarity with Azure OpenAI, Azure Cognitive Services, or similar AI/ML capabilities within the Microsoft ecosystem. Previous use of Codex or Claude is a plus.
  • Experience migrating or modernizing content and solutions to Microsoft 365 / SharePoint Online; understanding of cloud architecture and Azure fundamentals is a plus.
  • Understanding of governance, security, compliance, and application lifecycle management in the M365 and Power Platform environment, including ALM pipelines and DevOps approaches.
  • Practical experience developing solutions within Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Ability to create and maintain PowerShell scripts and automation for administration, reporting, and operational support across M365 and SharePoint Online.
  • Understanding of web applications, IIS, Windows-based hosting concepts, and integration patterns.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to identify creative, scalable solutions to complex business challenges and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently but collaborate with a senior team of SMEs.
  • Experience in a regulated environment is preferred.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 application development, including SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Microsoft Teams extensions.
  • Experience developing custom solutions using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), TypeScript/JavaScript, React, HTML5, and CSS.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Graph API, REST APIs, and custom connector development.
  • Experience with Power Platform AI capabilities including AI Builder, document processing models, sentiment analysis, prediction models, and generative AI integrations.
  • Experience using Microsoft Copilot Studio to build conversational bots and automate knowledge workflows.
  • Familiarity with Azure AI services such as Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Search, Cognitive Services, or embeddings-based solutions.
  • Experience with solution lifecycle management in Power Platform, including pipelines, source control, and environment governance.
  • Understanding of M365 security, compliance, identity, and role-based access controls.
  • Experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure Automation, or serverless integration patterns is a plus.
