Role Description The Network Technician is a full-time, remote role responsible for supporting and maintaining client network environments to ensure stability, performance, and security. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring network infrastructure, diagnosing and resolving connectivity issues, and providing technical support to internal and external stakeholders. The role involves configuring and updating network devices, assisting with the implementation of security best practices, and documenting network changes, incidents, and resolutions. The Network Technician will collaborate with other IT team members to plan improvements, support upgrades, and help optimize network performance across multiple client accounts. This position requires proactive communication, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Network Administration and Network Infrastructure to configure, maintain, and optimize routers, switches, firewalls, and related systems.
• Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting and Technical Support to diagnose issues, resolve incidents, and assist users with connectivity and performance problems.
• Candidates should possess skills in Network Security to implement security policies, support secure configurations, and help protect networks from unauthorized access.
• Relevant skills such as familiarity with common networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), experience with monitoring tools, and basic understanding of cloud or hybrid environments are beneficial.
• Qualifications such as an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, are preferred.
• Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA or similar), strong documentation skills, and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders are advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote setting, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate with global teams is highly valued.
