Job Description
Company Overview

Summary
IBAO, a Member based Association, offers technical & licensing courses to Property & Casualty Insurance Brokers in Ontario. Some Brokerages have offices outside Ontario, within Canada, and have staff licensed in Ontario. Members who take IBAO Continuing Education and other courses might come from across Canada.
IBAO has become the best-in-class centre for education for the Insurance Broker industry and strives to be better and more impactful with every new course launched. IBAO’s premise is on practical, pragmatic and applied learning, and uniformly against passive or theoretical “understandings” of course content.
IBAO’s extensive and growing eLearning course catalogue supports the member needs for technical education as part of their Continuing Education regulatory requirements. Overtime, the courses have changed in layout, functionality, design and innovative use of Articulate’s technology leading to a non-uniform and outdated learning environments.
This role will work with the Continuing Education Manager to refurbish, refresh, redesign, develop new assets, re-confirm technical accuracy and upgrade the learning engagement of IBAO’s eLearning library (roughly 100 courses) on SmarterU’s platform. Over 12 months, with option to renew, a production calendar will be created and timelines fix, then each course will be diagnosed one by one as to what needs to be upgraded. Your expertise in best-in-class eLearning environments will be critical to advise what can be done and how long each upgrade will take, but also what kind of upgrades will benefit the learner & their retention of this information.
Depending on the project plan for eLearning, there may be assignments in developing visual and handout materials templates for IBAO’s live facilitated courses. There may also be a need to work independently and manage the production schedule without direct supervision. In such circumstances, requirements for independent and full updates will be necessary.
