We are currently excited to announce the launch of a brand-new award category, and we are expanding our creative team to bring these fresh designs to life.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and fast-working Junior Industrial Designer to join our team. In this entry-level role, you will be the driving creative force behind our new award category. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, modeling, and rendering rapid-turnaround award designs that uphold the high bespoke standards of the Bennett Awards brand.

Because we operate in a high-demand, fast-paced environment, promptness, efficiency, and exceptional time management are just as important as your creative eye. If you are a recent graduate or junior designer who works quickly without sacrificing quality, we want to hear from you!

This will initially be a part-time 1099 independent contractor position targeted at approximately 20-30 hours per week, but could potentially evolve into additional hours, or even a full-time W2 role. This can be a fully remote position; however, the candidate will need to spend some time in our office for initial and periodic training.

While the position is fully remote, we are targeting candidates in the U.S., for timely communication and quick design turnarounds, which are key components of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, model, and render innovative award concepts for our newly launched product category.
• Produce high-quality 2D vectors and visual presentations using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Execute design iterations rapidly to meet strict, fast-turnaround deadlines.
• Collaborate closely with senior designers and the production team to ensure designs are aesthetically pleasing and manufacturable.
• Prepare and organize production-ready files and technical drawings.
• Respond promptly to design briefs and client/internal feedback.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience/strong portfolio).
• Software Skills: We are an Adobe Creative Cloud studio. Strong, demonstrable proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is required.
• 3D Modeling (Autodesk Fusion): Basic to intermediate experience modeling physical products. Please note that Fusion (Fusion 360) is our exclusive CAD package, so familiarity with this specific software is required.
• Speed & Promptness: Exceptional time-management skills. You must be comfortable working with tight deadlines and delivering quick turnarounds without getting overwhelmed.
• Design Fundamentals: A strong understanding of form, composition, color, and typography. While prior knowledge of manufacturing materials (like acrylic, metal, or wood) is a plus, iis not required. We will absolutely train you on best practices regarding our specific material set.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to take direction and constructive feedback well.
• Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating your design process, sketching, rendering, and vector work.
