Job Summary

As a Senior SAP ABAP Developer, you will develop, enhance, and support SAP applications that enable essential business processes. You will translate business requirements into reliable technical solutions, collaborate with business and technical teams, and contribute throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC). The primary focus is SAP ABAP development, system integration, performance optimization, and application support.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, debug, and maintain SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms.
• Design and implement SAP integrations using APIs, web services, REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML.
• Develop and enhance custom SAP applications based on business requirements.
• Analyze technical requirements and prepare technical specifications and solution designs.
• Optimize ABAP code, database queries, and application performance.
• Work with relational databases and SQL to support data processing and application functionality.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, business analysts, architects, and cross-functional teams.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing.
• Support SAP application deployments, troubleshooting, production issues, and ongoing maintenance.
• Use version control and CI/CD tools where applicable.
• Ensure solutions follow coding standards, security requirements, and SAP development best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of professional experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Strong knowledge of ABAP programming, debugging, performance tuning, and object-oriented programming (OOP).
• Experience developing reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and custom SAP objects.
• Understanding of SAP data models, database concepts, SQL, and application architecture.
• Experience with requirements analysis, technical documentation, testing, and production support.
• Knowledge of SAP integration technologies and web services.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and modern ABAP development practices.
• Knowledge of CDS Views, AMDP, OData services, and SAP Fiori integrations.
• Exposure to SAP BTP, cloud environments, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Agile methodologies, and Scrum.
• Experience with REST APIs, SOAP, JSON, XML, and third-party system integrations.
• Knowledge of additional backend or web technologies such as Java, Python, .NET, or JavaScript is an advantage when relevant to the project.
