About Instant Swim

Instant Swim is a fast-growing UK performance swimwear brand, creating functional, flattering swimwear designed for women who train.

We’re entering an exciting new phase of growth, expanding our product offering and exploring new categories beyond swimwear, while staying true to our performance-focused roots.

We’re looking for an experienced Product Developer & Designer to join our growing team and take ownership of our product development process, from initial concepts through to production.

The Role

You’ll work closely with our founder to bring new products and collections to life, combining creative design with technical expertise.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and developing new swimwear styles, colourways and collections.
• Leading the development of new product categories, including technical clothing designed for swimmers.
• Creating detailed tech packs, specifications and construction guidelines.
• Managing sampling, fittings, revisions and product approvals.
• Sourcing and researching performance fabrics, trims and materials.
• Communicating directly with overseas manufacturers and managing development timelines.
• Ensuring products meet our standards for fit, quality, functionality and design.
• Supporting product costing, MOQs and production planning.

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

• 3+ years of experience in apparel product development and/or technical design.
• A strong background in performance apparel, activewear, sportswear or swimwear.
• Experience developing products from concept through to production.
• Excellent knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, fit and technical specifications.
• Experience creating tech packs and working directly with manufacturers.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
• A creative eye and genuine interest in performance clothing and product innovation.

Experience in swimwear development is a bonus, but not essential.
