Job Description
About Ondox
Ondox is a technology company specialising in Intelligent Automation. We help our clients streamline their processes and drive digital transformation through AI and innovative, practical solutions. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a talented and motivated Assistant Project Manager to join our team.
About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive and organised Assistant Project Manager to join our delivery team. Working closely with our Project Managers, you’ll help plan and deliver client projects from kick-off to go-live, taking ownership of smaller projects and workstreams as you grow in the role.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in project coordination or support who’s ready to step up. You’ll work directly with clients and delivery teams, gain hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle, and have a clear path towards becoming a Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside Project Managers to plan and deliver client projects, taking ownership of smaller projects or workstreams
- Run day-to-day project activities, including stand-ups, client check-ins and internal progress meetings
- Maintain project documentation, including design documents, change requests (CRs), RAID logs and status reports
- Track project budgets, SOWs and time allocation, proactively identifying risks or overspend and proposing solutions
- Plan and manage timelines for milestones, testing phases and go-live dates
- Manage the change request process, from scoping and estimating CRs through to client approval and delivery
- Act as a point of contact for clients, preparing clear, professional status updates and communications
- Identify, track and help resolve risks, issues and dependencies, escalating where needed
- Support resource planning and coordinate the work of delivery teams to keep projects on track
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a project coordination, PMO or junior project management role, ideally including some direct responsibility for delivery
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- A confident communicator, comfortable working directly with clients and leading conversations with internal teams
- Experience with project tracking tools such as Azure DevOps, Float, MS Project or Smartsheet
- Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and comfort working with SOWs and budget tracking
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines at once
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the confidence to take ownership
- An ambition to grow into a Project Manager role
Nice to Have
- Practical experience delivering projects using Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies
- Experience in a client-facing professional services or IT delivery environment
- PRINCE2, Agile, PMP or a similar project management certification (or working towards one)
What We Offer
- Competitive salary and company bonus scheme
- 35-hour working week
- Flexible working, with just 2–3 days in the office per month
- 32 days’ holiday (including public holidays)
- Company pension
- Training budget, including attendance at industry events
- Mentoring, coaching and regular 1:1s focused on your performance and career progression
- PerkBox subscription with monthly complimentary rewards
- Free and subsidised social events throughout the year
