Cloud Enginee - (Remote, Entry-Level)

Role Description The Cloud Engineer (Remote, Entry-Level) at JP Engenharia e Consultoria Ltda will support the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure and services in a part-time capacity. Daily tasks include assisting with provisioning virtual machines, storage, and networking resources, monitoring system performance, and helping resolve basic cloud-related issues under the guidance of senior engineers. The role involves contributing to simple automation scripts, updating documentation, and participating in remote meetings to coordinate project activities and align with security and compliance standards. This is a remote role, with flexibility to collaborate across time zones and use online tools to manage tasks, track progress, and communicate with team members.

Qualifications

• Foundational Software Development skills, including ability to read and write code or scripts in at least one programming or scripting language.
• Basic Infrastructure knowledge, such as understanding of networks, servers, and virtualization concepts.
• Introductory Cloud Computing experience or coursework with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), including deploying and managing cloud resources.
• Working familiarity with Linux operating systems, including command-line usage, system monitoring, and basic configuration.
• Understanding of Databases, including basic SQL queries, data modeling concepts, and exposure to relational or NoSQL databases.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn in an entry-level engineering environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote setting, manage part-time hours responsibly, and communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
• Relevant education in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience; industry certifications in cloud or Linux are a plus.
