Senior Salesforce Developer – AI & Innovation

Location - UK remote & London

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, who is looking for an experienced Senior Salesforce Developer with strong hands-on development and configuration skills to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Salesforce professional who enjoys working directly with customers, delivering high-quality solutions and exploring how emerging AI technologies can enhance business processes and customer outcomes.

You will combine deep Salesforce development expertise with strong communication skills, working collaboratively with customers and colleagues to design, build and deliver effective solutions. An interest in AI and AI-enabled technologies is particularly important, with previous AI project experience a bonus.

This is a predominantly remote role, with two days per week on-site with a client in Central London . Candidates must be permanently based in the UK, have the legal right to work in the UK and be comfortable working UK business hours. Overseas candidates and those intending to relocate will not be considered.

The Role

As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you will take responsibility for developing, configuring and supporting Salesforce solutions, using your technical expertise to address customer requirements and deliver high-quality outcomes.

You will work directly with customers, contributing to meetings, workshops and technical discussions, while collaborating effectively within a remote team. You will also have the opportunity to explore AI technologies and develop your skills as the Salesforce ecosystem continues to evolve.

We are looking for someone proactive and self-motivated, who takes ownership of their work, communicates confidently and is keen to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Salesforce solutions using Apex and platform configuration.
• Translate customer requirements into robust, scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
• Participate confidently in customer meetings, workshops and technical discussions.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues in a fully remote team.
• Take ownership of development tasks, demonstrating initiative and the ability to work independently.
• Maintain high standards of code quality, solution design and development best practice.
• Explore AI technologies and AI-enabled solutions, identifying opportunities to enhance Salesforce implementations.
• Adapt to changing customer requirements, new technologies and evolving project priorities.
• Continue developing technical expertise through ongoing learning and professional development.

Skills and Experience Required

• Proven experience as a Senior Salesforce Developer.
• Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Apex and platform configuration.
• Essential: relevant Salesforce certifications.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong customer-facing skills, with the confidence to engage professionally in meetings, workshops and technical discussions.
• Demonstrable interest in AI technologies and AI-enabled solutions.
• Previous experience delivering AI-related projects would be advantageous.
• Proven ability to work successfully within a fully remote team.
• Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable working independently without constant supervision.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
• A willingness to learn, develop new skills and adapt to emerging technologies and customer needs.
• Must be permanently based in the UK, have the legal right to work in the UK and be available during UK business hours.
• Able to travel to a client site in Central London two days per week.
