Job Description
About The Company Experis connects technology professionals with opportunities to make a meaningful impact. We are supporting a healthcare technology project focused on building and improving digital services for the NHS. The work calls for strong engineering practice, thoughtful collaboration and a clear understanding of the clinical and technical environments in which these services operate. The successful candidate will contribute to technology that supports important healthcare workflows and must be comfortable working with the standards and constraints of a regulated setting.
About The Role Experis is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer for a 12-month contract. This is a remote role based in London, with a day rate of £630 inside IR35. The engagement is available through an umbrella company only.
You will contribute across backend and frontend development, building and maintaining reliable software for healthcare use. The role combines C# and .NET backend engineering, REST API development, Azure cloud services and frontend work using TypeScript, JavaScript or NHS Digital Design System components. You will work with technical and delivery colleagues to develop solutions that fit clinical workflows, integrate with NHS services and meet the expectations of a regulated environment. Confident use of AI development agents and tools as part of your daily workflow is also required.
Qualifications We are looking for a developer with substantial full stack experience and the ability to deliver secure, maintainable software in an enterprise environment. You should bring:
- Strong experience with C#, .NET 10, enterprise backend engineering and REST API development.
- Practical Azure experience, including Functions, App Services, Key Vault and Monitor, together with an understanding of cloud-native design.
- Frontend development capability using TypeScript and JavaScript, or experience working with NHS Digital Design System components.
- Confident, experienced use of AI development agents and tools within everyday development workflows.
- A strong understanding of clinical workflows, interoperability patterns and NHS technical constraints.
- Experience in regulated healthcare or medical-device software, including relevant standards such as ISO 13485, ISO 14971 and IEC 62304.
- Experience integrating with national NHS APIs, such as GP Connect, PDS, PDM, SCR or BARS referrals.
You should be able to communicate technical decisions clearly, work collaboratively and apply sound judgement when solving complex engineering problems. Experience with the listed NHS APIs and regulatory standards will help you contribute effectively to the project.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test and maintain full stack software for healthcare technology services.
- Build and support backend services and REST APIs using C# and .NET 10.
- Develop, configure and monitor cloud-based solutions using Azure services, including Functions, App Services, Key Vault and Monitor.
- Create and improve frontend experiences using TypeScript, JavaScript or NHS Digital Design System components.
- Support integration with NHS systems and APIs, applying appropriate interoperability patterns.
- Use AI development agents and tools responsibly to support day-to-day engineering work.
- Work with colleagues to understand clinical requirements, address technical constraints and deliver reliable, maintainable solutions.
- Apply relevant healthcare and medical-device software practices where required, contributing to quality and regulatory considerations.
Benefits This contract offers a 12-month opportunity to apply your skills to healthcare technology with a clear connection to NHS services. The role is remote and based in London, with a day rate of £630 inside IR35. The engagement is umbrella company only. You will work across a broad full stack remit, including Azure, modern .NET development, frontend technologies and NHS interoperability, while contributing to a technically challenging and socially important area.
