GCP Vertex AI Enterprise Architect

We are seeking a senior Enterprise AI Architect to lead enterprise AI strategy and architecture, with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Vertex AI, Agentic AI, and SAP S/4HANA integration. The ideal candidate will define scalable, secure, governed, and production-ready AI architectures, establish reusable enterprise AI patterns, and guide AI initiatives from strategy through deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the enterprise AI roadmap and advise leadership on AI platform strategy and investments.
• Design enterprise-scale GenAI and Agentic AI architectures using Google Cloud, Vertex AI, and Gemini.
• Develop reference architectures for LLM orchestration, grounding, multi-agent workflows, and tool/API calling.
• Architect secure integrations with SAP S/4HANA using OData, BAPIs, REST APIs, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Establish AI governance, IAM, RBAC, access controls, responsible AI practices, auditability, and human-in-the-loop approval workflows.
• Define production-readiness standards for monitoring, logging, observability, exception handling, resiliency, and deployment governance.
• Lead architecture reviews, support SIT/UAT and production readiness, and mentor engineering teams.
• Partner with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams to prioritize high-value AI use cases and drive adoption.

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of overall IT experience.
• 6+ years in enterprise/cloud architecture and solution design.
• 4+ years in AI/ML, GenAI, or enterprise AI initiatives.
• 3+ years of hands-on GCP and Vertex AI experience.
• 4+ years in Agentic AI/GenAI solution architecture.
• 3+ years designing SAP S/4HANA integration architectures using OData, BAPIs, or APIs.
• 5+ years of Python and AI application architecture experience.
• 2+ years in agent orchestration, tool/API calling, and workflow automation.
• 5+ years in REST APIs and enterprise integration architecture.
• 4+ years in security architecture, IAM, service accounts, RBAC, and enterprise governance.
• Experience implementing human-in-the-loop workflows, AI guardrails, and auditability.
• Experience designing production AI architectures with monitoring, logging, exception handling, and resiliency.
• Strong executive communication, strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.

Preferred Skills

• SAP Finance and month-end close process knowledge.
• Google Chat notification and approval integrations.
• Web application or command-center architecture.
• CI/CD and cloud deployment architecture.
• SIT/UAT and enterprise production-readiness planning.
• Agentic AI risk, governance, and control frameworks.
• Relevant Google Cloud, Vertex AI, AI/ML, cloud architecture, or security certifications.
