Job Description
- Delivery & Support Develops IoT ingestion and streaming pipelines on AWS feeding the data lake; implements and tunes ETL/ELT processes, optimising throughput, latency and cost for high-volume telemetry;
- operates cloud storage and streaming services supporting the IoT estate. Governance & SLA — Reports ingestion reliability, latency and data completeness against service levels;
- coordinates with the Data Lake IoT team and downstream consumers on schema, contract and priority changes; adheres to agile ceremony discipline and change governance for pipeline modification.
- Quality & CI — Improves automated data quality validation across ingestion paths;
- refactors inefficient flows to reduce runtime, storage footprint and cloud spend; standardises reusable ingestion patterns for onboarding new device and asset types.
- KPIs — Ingestion success rate and data completeness against targets; end-to-end latency within thresholds; reduction in processing cost per unit of ingested volume.
