Responsibilities

• Develop compelling grant proposals and funding applications tailored to specific donor requirements, ensuring clarity, persuasiveness, and compliance with submission guidelines.
• Conduct comprehensive research on potential grant opportunities, including government grants, foundation funding, and nonprofit sector initiatives.
• Manage the entire grant lifecycle from initial research through submission, reporting, and renewal processes using databases such as Raiser’s Edge or similar systems.
• Collaborate with program teams to gather necessary information for proposals, budgets, and progress reports; assist in developing program development strategies aligned with funding opportunities.
• Maintain detailed records of grant activities, deadlines, and correspondence within grant management databases; ensure timely follow-up on submissions and reports.
• Write clear financial reports, progress updates, and technical documentation that meet funder specifications while highlighting program successes and organizational impact.
• Cultivate relationships with current and prospective funders through strategic communication efforts; prepare persuasive content for donor engagement and stewardship activities.

Skills

• Proven expertise in grant proposal writing, including crafting compelling narratives that align with funder priorities.
• Extensive experience managing grants within nonprofit foundations or community organizations; familiarity with nonprofit sector standards is essential.

• Technical proficiency in contract management systems, databases, and content editing tools; ability to adapt to new software quickly.
• Exceptional writing skills with a focus on persuasive communication, technical writing, proofreading, and editing for clarity and impact.
• Sound understanding of budgeting processes, financial report writing, project management principles, and strategic planning for sustainable fundraising efforts.
