Position Overview

This position ensures that the NC Health Information Exchange Authority’s process to execute MOUs, MOAs, vendor contracts and other agreements is well organized and efficient. They will work closely with NC HIEA business leads and partners to draft MOUs, MOAs, vendor contracts, and other agreements. NC HIEA’s contracts writer will proactively coordinate with NCDIT’s legal, privacy and security, finance, and procurement teams to ensure that all required information is provided, issues are addressed, and agreements satisfy the respective team’s requirements. The contracts writer will develop and maintain an organized repository of all NC HIEA agreements and related documentation and collaborate with business leads to ensure programs and services are in alignment with related agreements.

Required Skills

• Draft, review, and execute MOUs, MOAs, vendor contracts, and other agreements.
• Coordinate with business leads and legal, privacy, security, finance, and procurement teams.
• Ensure agreements meet compliance requirements and organizational standards.
• Maintain an organized SharePoint repository of agreements and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with business leads to ensure programs and services align with contractual agreements.
• Support health IT initiatives, interoperability, and health information exchange programs.
• Assist with Medicaid Advance Planning Documents and federal funding processes.
