Shopify Application Design & Development Coordinator

We are looking for a technically skilled Shopify Application Design & Development Coordinator to design, develop, customize, integrate, and maintain Shopify applications and eCommerce solutions.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work across the complete Shopify application lifecycle, from requirements analysis and application design to development, API integration, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance .

You will collaborate with UI/UX designers, Shopify developers, backend developers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and project managers to deliver reliable and scalable Shopify solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom Shopify applications based on business requirements.
• Analyze client requirements and translate them into technical application solutions.
• Develop Shopify applications using modern web technologies and Shopify development frameworks.
• Build custom Shopify functionality, extensions, integrations, and merchant tools.
• Work with Shopify Admin API, Storefront API, and GraphQL .
• Implement Shopify app authentication using OAuth and secure authentication practices.
• Develop and maintain Shopify webhooks and event-driven integrations.
• Build custom Shopify App Extensions and embedded application features.
• Develop applications that integrate with Shopify Admin and merchant workflows.
• Integrate third-party APIs, CRM systems, ERP systems, payment services, shipping platforms, and other external services.
• Develop custom storefront functionality when required.
• Work with Shopify Liquid, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Node.js .
• Build responsive and user-friendly application interfaces.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to convert designs into functional application interfaces.
• Implement Shopify Functions and other platform-specific capabilities where required.
• Develop subscription, billing, and application monetization functionality where applicable.
• Troubleshoot API, authentication, application, integration, and storefront issues.
• Optimize applications for performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and compatibility testing.
• Coordinate with QA teams to identify and resolve defects.
• Manage application deployment and version releases.
• Maintain application documentation, technical specifications, and integration details.
• Monitor application performance and resolve production issues.
• Research Shopify platform updates and recommend improvements to existing applications.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in Shopify Development, Web Application Development, eCommerce Development, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with the Shopify ecosystem.
• Good understanding of Shopify APIs and GraphQL .
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Experience with React and Node.js.
• Good understanding of Shopify Liquid.
• Experience building or integrating Shopify applications.
• Understanding of OAuth, webhooks, REST APIs, and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience working with databases and backend services.
• Experience with Git and version-control systems.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of web application security.
• Good written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
