Job Description
• $50–$80 per hour
• 100% remote
• Part-time
• Fully flexible schedule
Work at the cutting edge of legal AI, on your own schedule, and get paid for the judgment and legal writing skills you already have.
The AI systems everyone is talking about are trained and tested by real legal professionals. The teams building them need people who can annotate challenging documents governed by U.S. law, refine legal content, check its accuracy and reliability, and put legal concepts and reasoning into clear language. Your judgment helps make the next generation of AI models more accurate and consistent. This is that work, done remotely around your current job.
What you’ll do
• Review challenging documents governed by U.S. law and use annotations to flag issues with accuracy and consistency
• Draft and refine legal content, including detailed cite-checking and Bluebook formatting
• Assess whether legal materials are accurate, consistent and reliable
• Put legal concepts and reasoning into clear, concise language
Why this is worth your time
• Get paid $50–$80 an hour to build real AI skills, on top of your current job
• Work directly with frontier AI tools and see how they are built, tested and improved, experience most legal professionals will not have for years
• Build a career edge for what comes next: AI is reshaping legal work, and the people who understand it from the inside will lead that change
• Fully remote and flexible, no fixed shifts, no commute
Who this is for
• Current enrollment at a law school in the United States, a J.D. degree, or relevant experience as a lawyer or paralegal based in the United States
• Strong knowledge of legal systems in the U.S., along with expertise in legal research methods and legal writing conventions, exceptional Bluebook proficiency, and demonstrated cite-checking ability
• English fluency at a professional level and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required; for law students, editorial work for a law review or legal journal is required, while for other contributors it is highly valued
• No AI experience needed. You bring the expertise; we bring the training on the tools.
Pay and details
• $50–$80 per hour, paid hourly as an independent contractor
• Fully flexible schedule; fully remote, United States
