Job Description
• $50–$80 per hour
• 100% remote
• Part-time
• Fully flexible schedule
Work on the cutting edge of legal AI, on your own schedule, and get paid for the legal judgment you already have.
The AI systems everyone is talking about are trained and tested by real legal professionals. The teams building them need lawyers who can design realistic legal tasks, assess AI responses to documents and arguments, write the answer a legal professional would give, and pinpoint where the AI gets things wrong. Your judgment helps shape the next generation of models so they can reason through legal material more reliably. This is that work, done remotely around your current job.
What you’ll do
• Annotate legal documents and agreements; verify that case-law analysis is accurate and follows U.S. legal standards
• Check citations in legal writing against Bluebook requirements
• Edit legal writing samples and assess AI-generated legal outputs for accuracy, legal reasoning and clarity
• Summarize complex legal concepts and give practitioners clear feedback about the logic and structure of legal arguments
Why this is worth your time
• Get paid $50–$80 an hour to build real AI skills, on top of your current job
• Work directly with frontier legal AI tools and see how they are built, tested and improved, experience most lawyers will not have for years
• Build a career edge for what comes next: AI is reshaping legal work, and the people who understand it from the inside will lead that change
• Fully remote and flexible, no fixed shifts, no commute
Who this is for
• Have earned a J.D. at a law school in the United States, or be a current law student there; preference goes to T14 law school alumni and current students
• Strong knowledge of U.S. law, demonstrated legal analysis ability, plus experience reviewing legal documents, performing legal analysis or working as a paralegal
• Excellent command of Bluebook citations and cite-checking, with clear communication in professional writing and speech; for law students, prior editing experience with a legal journal or law review is required
• No AI experience needed. You bring the expertise; we bring the training on the tools.
Pay and details
• $50–$80 per hour, paid hourly as an independent contractor
• Fully flexible schedule; fully remote, United States
