Job Description
• $45–$65 per hour equivalent, paid per accepted task
• 100% remote
• Part-time
• Under 20 hours a week, you choose when
Work on the cutting edge of AI coding systems, on your own schedule, and get paid for the problem-solving expertise you already have.
The AI coding systems everyone is talking about are trained and tested by real competitive programmers. The teams building them need experts who can create original, difficult problems, judge whether an AI submission meets the requirements, write the reference solution and tests, and explain exactly where the submission falls short. Your judgment helps shape the next generation of coding models and automated checks. This is that work, done remotely around your current job.
What you’ll do
• Create original problems for competitive programming, with clear requirements and challenging constraints
• Build reference solutions and full test suites for AI submissions
• Create C++ checkers that handle problems allowing multiple valid outputs
• Evaluate submissions, refine unclear specifications, and document checker logic for the project team
Why this is worth your time
• Get paid the equivalent of $45–$65 an hour to build real AI skills, on top of your current job
• Work directly with frontier AI coding tools and see how they are built, tested and improved, experience most competitive programmers will not have for years
• Build a career edge for what comes next: AI is reshaping software engineering and competitive programming, and the people who understand it from the inside will lead that change
• Fully remote and flexible, no fixed shifts, no commute
Who this is for
• Strong skills in competitive programming and analyzing coding problems, including complex constraints and multiple solution paths
• Advanced C++ proficiency for creating robust checkers
• Can produce thoroughly documented, high-quality code under demanding project constraints
• Fluent English; communicates clearly in writing and speech, pays close attention to detail, and works independently
• No AI experience needed. You bring the expertise; we bring the training on the tools.
Pay and details
• $45–$65 per hour equivalent; pay is per accepted task, as an independent contractor
• Under 20 hours a week, you choose when; fully remote, United States
