Backend Developer | $70/hr Remote

Position: Rust Architect / Backend Developer

Type: Contract

Compensation: $50 $70/hour

Location: Global, fully remote

Commitment: 10 40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Solve and validate Rust backend problems involving service behavior and APIs
• Translate functional requirements into reproducible implementation workflows
• Prepare Rust crate workspaces, configuration files, and test fixtures
• Implement dependency services, databases, and containerized environments
• Evaluate backend systems for correctness, reliability, and maintainability
• Design and create asynchronous and concurrent systems in Rust
• Conduct technical debugging for performance and reliability issues

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Rust and backend service design
• Proven ability to handle APIs, data systems, and concurrency
• Significant experience with production software architecture
• Practical proficiency in substantial Rust projects or open-source work
• Experience formulating technical analyses for backend performance
• Excellent judgment in assessing backend system reliability
• Clear ownership of Rust architecture and solutions
