Key Responsibilities

• Custom WordPress Development: Architect and build responsive custom themes, dynamic page templates, and flexible Gutenberg blocks based on provided design files. Leverage modern development practices and AI-assisted development workflows to maximize efficiency and maintain project velocity.
• Development Environment Management: Establish and manage local development environments (WordPress Studio preferred) and seamlessly deploy to staging environments for thorough marketing review and testing.
• Marketing Automation Integration: Expertly embed and rigorously test Marketo forms, implement Munchkin tracking scripts, and configure hidden field routing to ensure flawless lead synchronization with Marketo and Salesforce.
• Content Migration Leadership: Execute a comprehensive migration of existing blog posts, landing pages, and media assets from HubSpot to the new WordPress platform.
• SEO & Redirect Strategy: Implement full 301 redirect mappings and meticulously preserve critical SEO attributes, including metadata, sitemaps, canonical tags, and analytics configurations.
• Hosting & DNS Management: Configure production hosting, secure the site with SSL, and manage the DNS cutover process on GoDaddy to ensure a smooth launch.
• Quality Assurance & Performance Optimization: Conduct extensive cross-browser and cross-device testing, perform accessibility audits (targeting WCAG 2.1 AA compliance), and optimize for superior page speed and overall performance.
• Comprehensive Documentation: Provide clear, concise handoff documentation to empower the marketing team to confidently manage day-to-day updates and maintenance post-launch.

Required Experience & Technical Skills

• 4+ years of professional WordPress development experience, demonstrating expertise in custom PHP themes, Gutenberg blocks, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development workflows for building custom WordPress environments.
• Marketo Integration Proficiency: Proven experience embedding Marketo forms, configuring hidden fields, and implementing Munchkin tracking scripts within custom WordPress sites.
• CMS Migration Expertise: Demonstrated track record of executing complete migrations from platforms like HubSpot, including sophisticated 301 redirect strategies and meticulous SEO preservation.
• Infrastructure & DNS Knowledge: Practical knowledge of production hosting setup, SSL certificate installation, and GoDaddy DNS cutovers.
• Technical Quality & QA Mastery: Extensive experience executing cross-device quality assurance, advanced page speed optimization, and adherence to accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA).
• Exceptional Communication: Ability to work autonomously as a technical advisor and communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively with non-developer marketing stakeholders.
