Job Description
About The Company Schneider is a transportation and logistics company focused on helping customers move goods efficiently and reliably. The company values innovation, collaboration, and an inclusive workplace where people can contribute their perspectives and skills. Schneider’s digital platforms play an important role in connecting customers, associates, and partners with information and services. The team works to make those experiences useful, consistent, and accessible across the company’s websites, applications, and intranets.
About The Role Schneider is seeking a Web Developer to create, maintain, and improve digital experiences across its web properties. In this individual-contributor role, you will translate complex designs into functional, responsive websites and help ensure that each experience is reliable, effective, and aligned with Schneider’s brand. You will work with marketing associates and other partners to identify digital opportunities, resolve website issues, and apply evolving web standards and technologies. This remote position is based in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and follows a full-time, Monday–Friday first-shift schedule.
Qualifications Qualified candidates will have an associate degree in computer science or a related field and two to four years of web design experience. You should bring advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React, along with experience using content management systems and developing interactive web applications. Familiarity with open-source technologies, database programming, and large-scale website launches is important. Candidates should also understand search engine optimization (SEO) and how design and development decisions can affect a site’s visibility and usability. The ability to troubleshoot issues, communicate effectively, manage details, and collaborate with colleagues across disciplines will help you succeed in this role.
Responsibilities Build fully functional websites from complex design concepts using HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, AJAX, and other relevant technologies. Support a consistent look and feel across Schneider’s websites, applications, and intranets by helping develop and maintain a uniform web branding strategy. Monitor and troubleshoot website interruptions, investigate issues, and help restore effective site functionality. Partner with marketing associates to explore new digital opportunities and support business objectives through thoughtful web solutions. Track and report on website traffic and performance, using available insights to identify areas for improvement. Implement relevant standards, technologies, and trends in web architecture, development, and design. Conduct regular audits of Schneider’s websites to assess functionality, effectiveness, and user experience, and recommend or complete updates as needed.
Benefits Schneider offers a benefits package designed to support employees’ health, financial well-being, and continued development. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance; company-paid life insurance; and a 401(k) savings plan with a company match. Employees also receive paid time off and paid holidays. A results-based incentive pay program provides the opportunity to earn compensation beyond base pay based on performance. Tuition reimbursement is available to support ongoing education and professional growth. Additional information about benefits may be available through Schneider’s full benefits resources.
Equal Opportunity
Schneider is committed to treating everyone with dignity and respect and to providing equal access to opportunities and resources. The company values diversity in thought, race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender, gender expression, age, religion, sexual orientation, ability, medical condition, veteran or military status, experience, and background. This inclusive approach supports collaboration, innovation, strategic thinking, and leadership. Applicants who need a reasonable accommodation to complete an application, participate in pre-employment testing or an interview, or otherwise take part in the hiring process in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) may contact their recruiter, a Human Resources Business Partner, or Human Resources Leave Administration.
