**Health & Safety Manager Construction, Fit-Out & Building Services**

Location: London / South East

Salary: £45,000 – £65,000 depending on experience, plus package

Type: Permanent

I’m recruiting for two Health & Safety Manager opportunities with established, growing businesses across commercial fit-out, refurbishment and building services.

Both suit experienced H&S professionals who like being visible on sites, working closely with operational teams and senior leadership, rather than sitting in a corporate function. One business has recently appointed a new H&S Director from a major Tier 1 and is investing in the function as it grows towards £250m turnover. The other is a growing building services business with a wider compliance remit.

The roles

You’ll help drive a positive, practical H&S culture across the business and its projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing, implementing and maintaining H&S policies and procedures
• Advising senior management and operational teams
• Carrying out site audits, inspections and compliance reviews
• Monitoring performance and identifying risks and improvements
• Supporting teams with risk assessments, safe systems of work and tender/pre-construction planning
• Leading accident and incident investigations and embedding lessons learned
• Supporting subcontractor H&S and compliance
• Delivering briefings, toolbox talks and training
• Maintaining and improving ISO management systems, including ISO 45001 (and ISO 9001/14001 on some roles)
• Keeping up to date with HSE legislation and industry best practice

About you

We’d like to hear from H&S professionals from construction, commercial fit-out and refurbishment, building services/M&E, facilities management or HVAC backgrounds. You should ideally have:

• NEBOSH qualification or equivalent (Diploma and/or IOSH membership particularly welcome)
• Strong practical H&S experience, including site audits and inspections
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 and UK H&S legislation
• Confidence working with everyone from site teams to Directors
• A practical, solutions-focused approach
