Job Description

ABOUT DRIP

DRIP is a platform where hospitality, design, and culture converge. Born out of the worlds of bars, hotels, and restaurants, DRIP captures the rhythm of contemporary living and presents ideas, spaces, and stories with clarity, style, and a lasting impression. Through every issue, we spotlight the people, places, and ideas shaping hospitality and design culture today, pairing sharp editorial with a bold, distinctive visual identity.

THE ROLE

DRIP is looking for a Layout Designer to own the visual life of each issue — from page layout to art desk duties — bringing our editorial content and visual identity together on the page. You’ll be engaged on a project basis, issue by issue. Currently, DRIP is a quarterly publication.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Design and lay out each issue of DRIP end-to-end, from cover to closing pages, in line with DRIP’s visual identity and brand guidelines
  • Run the art desk: sourcing, briefing, and coordinating photography, illustration, and imagery for each issue
  • Work closely with the editorial team to pace content, balance visual and text-heavy spreads, and keep a consistent flow across the issue
  • Prepare print-ready files and coordinate with printers and production as needed
  • Maintain and evolve DRIP’s visual identity issue to issue, while keeping each edition feeling fresh
  • Manage image rights, credits, and asset organisation for each issue
  • Deliver against an agreed issue timeline, from first layout to final files

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Strong portfolio of magazine or editorial layout and design work
  • Expert in InDesign and the broader Adobe Creative Suite
  • Sharp eye for typography, grid systems, and visual storytelling
  • Experience art directing or sourcing photography and illustration
  • Comfortable managing a project independently against a fixed issue deadline
  • Based anywhere; able to work remotely and deliver to issue deadlines

Send your CV and portfolio to [email protected], with “Layout Designer (Art Desk) Application” in the subject line.
