Brand Designer — The Ethereal Agency

The role

The Ethereal Agency is seeking a Brand Designer: a creative with refined aesthetic taste, a considered eye and a strong sense of design with intention.

Founded in 2023, The Ethereal Agency is a full-scale marketing agency based in Toronto, Ontario, with clients across the hospitality, lifestyle and education sectors. We create brands, not ads. In this role, you’ll shape how our clients look, feel and are remembered, across brand identity, packaging, digital, social and out-of-home.

What you’ll do

• Lead brand identity concepts from the first spark of an idea through to a complete, cohesive visual system.
• Design packaging and full packaging lines that feel considered on the shelf and consistent across every product in the range.
• Create billboard, out-of-home and digital campaign creative that holds attention and carries the brand with confidence.
• Design social media grids that give each brand a cohesive, recognizable feed.
• Craft pitch and presentation decks with clear hierarchy and polished typography.
• Design UI for client websites and digital touchpoints, balancing beauty with ease of use.
• Retouch photography to a refined, brand-ready finish.
• Use AI tools fluently to explore ideas, speed up production and push creative boundaries.
• Stay ahead of social media trends and translate them thoughtfully into each brand’s voice.

What you bring

• 3+ years of design experience with hospitality, lifestyle and fashion brands.
• A deep understanding of what makes lifestyle and hospitality design feel inviting, aspirational and true to the brand.
• Proven range across brand identity, packaging, UI, campaign and deck design.
• A confident command of typography and a meticulous hand with photo retouching.
• Genuine fluency with AI design tools as part of your everyday workflow.
• A clear understanding of agency workflow: briefs, feedback rounds, deadlines and several clients in motion at once.

Tools

You move comfortably between established design software and the newest external AI tools, and you know which one serves the work best.

It’s a bonus if you also bring:

• Motion graphics, to bring brand moments to life
• Minimal video editing for social and campaign content
• AI video generation for reels, ads and campaign teasers
• 3D design and product rendering, in tools such as Blender
• Illustration, from icons to custom brand artwork
• Art direction on photo and video shoots
• Building websites in platforms such as Webflow, Framer, Shopify or Wix
• Print production knowledge, from proofs to final press files
• A flair for copywriting, to pair strong visuals with strong words
